Water in Dehumidifier

Q:
"We use a dehumidifier in our basement. Before
we added the dehumidifier it was quite damp down there.
It still turns on and off as usually, but now when it
runs no water ever accumulates in the bucket. Is something
wrong with the dehumidifier? The basement is still relatively
dry like the dehumidifier is working, but where is the
water going?"
A: It’s quite possible there’s no
humidity to remove. Make sure your unit is set to 55%
