Drain Tile System
An
interior drain tile system is the interior
version of a French drain. The concept is essentially
a trench in the ground to move water away from an area.
In an interior drain tile system, the water is moved
to a sump pump for dispersal out of the basement.
This
system works quite well because it is utilizing mother
nature itself (gravity) to move the water away from
it’s unwanted location.
Interior
drain tile concept is easy, construction is
not. It requires a jackhammer and structural knowledge
is highly recommended.
